At Tux & Tails we offer a personal, friendly service, in a relaxed atmosphere. Specialising in Bespoke made to measure garments using the finest cloths from British and Italian mills.

Tux & Tails is situated on the vibrant and exciting Gloucester Road, one of the last traditional high streets left in Britain, with the largest number of independent traders on one street in the whole of the UK.

I needed a dress for a ball at university and was a bit strapped for cash. I thought that Tux and Tails might be a little bit too expensive for me but I was wrong. The ladies gowns were excellent prices — under £50 for beautiful, formal dresses. Many of the dresses were modern in style and didn’t look stuffy at all. As well as used Ladies and Gents Formal attire, Tux and Tails also sell new accessories, such as cuffs for only £5.99. No old-​fashioned dresses or tired-​looking suits, Tux and Tails is certainly well-​worth a visit if you have a formal occasion to go to but don’t have the money to splash out on expensive attire.

A while back I was invited to a very classy party by a ‘friend’ of mine and was informed that I’d need to be wearing quite a respectable dress. I told him that I’d do this on the condition that he would hire out a tuxedo which had a bow tie and cumberband which matched the colour of my outfit, he didn’t have much choice. We went here to Tux & Tails where we explained what we were after and after he got his fitting, we were quite shocked at the price of hiring the tuxedo — it was much lower than we had bargained for, it genuinely was a bargain! This place is ideal for Secondary School Proms and black tie events.

I had a friends 21st last year that was black tie, and I ended up coming here for my tux…
Now, when your after something like a rented Tux, it’s an occasion that doesn’t happen very often, so the service and quality really stays with you. I was very impressed with the Tux, was seemingly brand new, I had one fitting and the first tux I tried on fitted like a dream (and most importantly the bow tie had an option of traditional, e.g. you tie yourself, or a clip on option for those like me who havent mastered the art of the bow tie.
Got another black tie event in April so will pop in here again for another £50 rented Tux.
