Meet the Business Owner

Dom A.

Business Owner

Dom has been involved in Baking since the Age of 15, he qualified with city and Guilds at Brunel College. He then went on to the YTS scheme at Mountstevens Bakery where he worked until they closed down. He joined The Breadstore 11 years ago and on 1st July 2011 him and his wife bought the business from the original owner and we have just kept going from strength to strength.

He was taught to bake bread the traditional way and that is what we would encourage anyone interested in baking to do, the satisfaction that you can say you made that loaf by hand is brilliant. Supermarket Bread and our Bread is totally different it isnt mass produced so will never be 100% the same every day, but that is the great unique quality of a small bakery. We do not add anything extra into our loaves, no added salt like supermarkets or even sugar to keep it fresh. Our bread is baked daily and can if kept in a sealed bag last for 23 days and still taste good.
