History

Established in 2012.

Since fixing computers, generally helping out and being the go-​to geek for family and friends for decades, I decided to take the plunge and set up my own business. I’ve seen how most people are using their computers all wrong — not getting the most from them, and spending too much on upgrades and needless accessories when they don’t have to. Since 2012 I’ve been helping people make the most of their devices, I’ve helped independent traders get their businesses off the ground with a new website, and have secured dozens of people’s data in the form of simple, reliable backups. My customers are much more confident computer users since using Ship Shape.

I’ve been an archaeologist, a web designer, and a writer in my time, but technology has formed the constant backdrop to this. I’m a natural with technology, and have used my web design skills to built web apps for museums and archives, and can be found on social media promoting Ship Shape and my other projects. As a small business owner, I’m keen to promote other local shops and services, and love Bristol’s independent scene.
