Came here on a work do, they have a funky planetary theme going on with pizza names. Décor is cool, and more importantly the pizza is good and reasonably priced. Very good side options available too like sweet potato fries, salads, nachos and more. Didn’t get to try the dessert so will try that another time. Service was spot on too, very unfussy and prompt. Only criticism is the knife provided, was a bit of a chore cutting the pizza. Will no doubt return and it kicks the likes of Pizza Express’s ass. Independent restaurants FTW.

Great service and very kid friendly. The pizzas aren’t great, but I have had much worse.

I visited this restaurant with my family in january 2012. We had a selection of different pizzas that were very tasty and fresh. The menu was great and I was stuck for choice as I wanted to try them all. Child friendly and very relaxed atmosphere. Impressed with child cuttlery and jelly beans. Recomended to all.

Only used this place once after one of the waiters wore badley stained trousers and put me off my squid

Good pizza, attentive service and very child-friendly. Great 2 pizzas for the price of one offer before 7pm and the breakfast pizza is one of the best morning-after cures I have come across. My only criticism is some of the pizzas can be quite greasy but I guess that’s why they’re so great the morning after!

Delicious pizza and they give you jellybeans when you pay the bill. What more do you want! Lunch menu very good.

One of the two Planet Pizzas in Bristol, I can say that they have done really well in keeping the vibe very similar in both! I do prefer the Whiteladies Road branch though, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the food or the service, I merely prefer the outdoor sitting area and the outlook of the Whiteladies branch. As usual, the food here is real yummy, healthy and fresh and you never feel bogged down even after munching down one whole pizza. There are always families here, which gives it a great wholesome feel. Great for pizza lovers!

This Planet Pizza is one of two, and both are in Bristol! In my opinion it’s an awesome little pizza place, especially for hardcore pizza lovers. Planet Pizza is exactly the kind of place that you could go with family to for a nice occasion, or on a date, or even just with friends at lunch or dinner — basically it caters for all occasions! The place itself looks very attractive particularly in the evening, with tiny fairy lights scattered around the entrance giving it a magical feel! Moving on to the pizzas — they are amazing! Massive pizzas that you might struggle to finish, but no worries as they are happy to give you the rest in a takeaway box. The range of choice is also great, you can have pretty much whatever you want as toppings here! A note for students too — they offer a buy one get one free deal all day every day which is brilliant and makes it a lovely and cheap night out!

This is what pizza is all about. Huge, doughy slices dripping with stringy cheese and a great choice of toppings. I first came to the Whiteladies Road branch for my birthday lunch but I had such a stinking cold, despite smearing everything with tabasco and ordering the most fiery pizza on the menu I couldn’t taste a thing. Then I demanded to be taken back to the Gloucester Road branch, which is a little smaller and more intimate. I love the theme of this place, which is done in a tongue in cheek sort of way, with pizzas named after planets and other cosmic happenings. I absolutely dig the alpha-centauri which has artichokes, mushrooms, bell peppers and blue cheese but the sun, which has sundried tomatoes and haloumi cheese is a total winner too. In fact I’ve never had a disappointing pizza or seen a friend have a bad pizza here. Their toppings are original and the setting has oodles more personality than just rocking up to a Zizzi or a Pizza Express. They also do great deals with a pizza slice and salad for £3.95 which makes it a good lunch option.

— I find Pizza Express faceless and dull. When I saw a restaurant called ‘Planet Pizza’ I immediately thought of the children’s paradise ‘Pizza Planet’ from Toy Story, and images of Woody the cowboy and Buzz Lightyear came flooding. The atmosphere was just as lively as I hoped, and the décor was fitting for an astronaut. Slightly pricier than Pizza Express, the atmosphere is a lot livelier and great for families and small/large groups.

Being intolerant to wheat one of my biggest cravings comes in the shape of a pizza, and I really miss the stuff. It was in places like Planet Pizza that I could really tuck into some truly awesome slices. The Spicy Meat Feast or Baby Goat’s Cheese and Spinach were just two of my favourites, and still would be I am sure! The dough is well made with a hint of oregano, not too thick or thin and loads of good quality cheese over the top. From the beautifully smelling kitchens there comes a noise of smooth production and laughter. Every topping conceivable has been requested — and almost always served. People come here to enjoy great pizza in a place as keen about it as they are. And they get exactly what they want.

Planet Pizza on Gloucester Road, just like the one on Whiteladies Road, offers some truly amazing pizzas that are great for sharing with friends. My personal favourite is the Sun(yes, they’re all named after various space objects), which has goat’s cheese and sundried tomatoes. Delicious. The prices aren’t exactly cheap(around £12-£15 for a 12″ pizza), but they’re well worth it. Turning up between 5 and 7pm on Sunday to Wednesday is the best, as it’s buy one get one free on all large pizzas! On top of this, the staff are all friendly, young things that only add to the vibe of the place. I definitely recommend going here for a birthday meal or something similar. Call ahead of time to book a large table for you and your mates. You won’t regret it.

Amazing pizza restaurant on Gloucester Road. I am a massive pizza fan and this is definitely one of my favourite places to eat it! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is nice and relaxed. The pizzas are certainly big enough to satisfy you and there are lots of good toppings available, highly recommend the pizza with Halloumi on it, delicious! There was a 2 for 1 deal if you ate in on Pizzas before 7 recently(even better value!) but I’m not sure if this is still going. Highly recommended, great pizza, good value.

Planet Pizza, what can I say. A nice cosy little place, great pizzas that are pretty huge. It’s a good place to go at lunchtime as they do some nice deals but it’s also a great place to go on an evening either with a group of friends or a loved one. I never know which pizza to pick and they all sound so good. The staff are very friendly and give the place a laid back atmosphere and it’s a great place to take kids(if you’ve got them) to eat with all the variations on the food. There’s a fooseball table towards the back and if you can’t finish your pizza the staff are only too happy to pack it up so you can take it home with you. The best part — when you ask for the bill it arrives with jelly beans — what’s not too like!

I totally agree with the person below! I am usually a massive carnivore and almost every meal I eat contains some form of meat or fish, however, the goats cheese, caramelised onions and pine nuts topping is immensely flavoursome and I wouldn’t even try ruining it by adding anything else! The staff are always friendly, their lunch time offers are good and this place is a favourite of mine when it comes to catching up with friends over a good bite to eat. They also do takeaways! If I lived close enough, I would! Overall– YUM!

All I need to say: goats cheese and caramelized onion pizza — how i love thee! If you want a really good pizza with an interesting bit of topping this is a great place to go. You have you obvious margarita type stuff but theres also some really exciting and god-damn delicious stuff here! Also fantastic student buy one get one free deals on some nights.

Planet Pizza is a simple venue great for a quick bite. As the name suggests their speciality is pizzas all named after planets. The pizza base is really flavoursome and the toppings are always yummy. They also do really nice salads, in particular a roast vegetable and couscous one if you want a healthier option. From Sundays to Wednesday between 5 and 7 pm they have a buy one get one free offer. I have been a customer at Planet Pizza for quite a few years and my only complaint is that in recent years the staff doesn’t seem as helpful and friendly as they used to be particularly if you come on a bogof night which spoils it!

I visited this restaraunt in July with a group of Mums from our daughters’ school. We had a very relaxed and pleasant evening with all of us enjoying our food and finding the meals to be tasty and a good size. There is plenty to choose from. Starters include Bruschetta, olives and stuffed, grilled mushrooms. Main meals are mostly pizza, of course! — but there are alternatives — lovely big salads with goats cheese, chicken or couscous. If you have room for a dessert, you can spoil yourself with chocolate brownies or sticky toffee pudding, belgian waffles or icecream. We found the service was fantastic — fast, polite but unobtrusive. Our waiter put up with the fact that we were so busy chatting that it took ages for us to make a decision and he had to come back several times to get the whole order. We were left alone at the end to enjoy the ambience and watch the passersby on Gloucester Road — until we realised that we were the last ones left and the staff were politely waiting for us to go home! I would definitely go back again — either with a group of friends or with family. Everyone seems to be given a lovely welcome and looked after.

Wht can i say about this quite standard pizza joint. It has everything that you would expect from somewhere named planet pizza. Pizzas and lots of them. Although they do have a few alternatives pizza planet is not somewhere i would travel miles to go to. Its good pizza and a wide selection. If thats what your looking for then this would be a good place to go.
