I have driven past this pub numerous times on my way to and from Bristol Airport. It’s exterior makes it appear gastropubish and I have always wanted to try it out. I’m extremely glad I did! Parking and access was easy, and the interior was lovely– the vine leaves all around the ceilings made it stand out from other pubs I’ve visited. Where we were seated we could see the outside seating area, and the ajoining vast grass patch and a view of the city in the distance– which was gorgeous! We only ordered starters and side orders of chips– my other half said the BBQ chicken wings lacked a little taste but my pâté was gorgeous, and the chip portions were generous. Prices were great and so was the service.

We stopped here to kill some time before going to Bristol Airport… we actually first stopped at another pub up the road, but this was inundated with a local cricket team. So we ended at the Fox & Goose It was a very pleasant 20 minutes. The fireplace was just crying at us to sit by it, so we did. It wasn’t full but it was busy enough with people there for their Sunday lunch, with lots of wine been cracked open. So I imagine its a good spot for some Sunday lunch. And if were ever in the area again and in the need of some food, we’ll call in here.

A very nice pub with a good atmostphere and relaxing layout. Pricing was about average, no bargains here and no food/drink offers that stand out. However nothing to really complain about either. There is also adequate parking with 4 – 5 spots outside the front and then a larger 15−20ish carpark around the back. The food quality like the price was nothing to shout about, however it was not terrible either. Hence it will not be getting 5 stars. If your looking for a fancy night out then this place probably isnt the best bet. But if your looking for a relaxing place to have a drink or some light food then I would highly recommend.
