— After a hectic ordeal at Bristol’s hospital I decided to treat myself to brunch somewhere near the Christmas Steps. I chose Café Zest because it looked cheap, cheerful, friendly and good quality food. My first instincts were right and I had a gorgeous fry-up from the café. At less than £3 I was in my element! They also sold a variety of brunch and lunchtime snacks/meals which would keep any tummy happy. With a delicious selection of paninis, soup, baguettes, jacket potatoes and home made cakes, there is something for any hungry passer-by. Situated in such a great little corner, it is really enjoyable to sit back and watch the world go by on the historic steps.
