The Square is surrounded on three sides by fine Georgian buildings, many of which have grade II* listed building status. The centre of the Square, behind railings and hedges, is a largely ignored small park, and contains an 1851 replica of the Bristol High Cross, originally erected in 1373. It’s an interesting place to wander with a coffee from one of the cafés on Park Street or Queens Road, or to relax with a book on a sunny afternoon.
