With all of the great tea/​coffee/​working lunch places in the Lanes, it takes something really special to come along and become an instant favourite. Nick and Franco’s has managed to do just that, serving really lovely, cheap and tasty food in a great environment. The staff are friendly and the deli set-​up is just brilliant: so much great deli food on offer, and a great place to eat in as well as take-​away. You must try it here!
Apart from the gorgeous paninis (with plenty of great ingredients), Nick and Franco’s also do quick and gorgeous pasta in a variety of flavours: filling and very yummy indeed! If you don’t fancy trying to eat it out of a box, I recommend eating in: the atmosphere inside is a perfect replica of a European deli, with racks of cured meat hanging over a lovely little bar in front of a deli-​style kitchen: it’s lovely to sit in, as well as the chairs in the Lanes outside: what should feel awkward is instead a perfect place to sit and eat this great food. I can’t recommend Nick and Franco’s enough: everything here is just great. Give it a try!

Nick and Franco’s has become a staple stop off for me in recent times. I love the Illy coffee and delicious panini creations here which offer some of the best local ingredients the owners could find (my absolute favourite of which is Spice Goat’s Cheese panini with roasted pepper and chilli jam). I love the atmosphere inside the deli, which features black and white floor tiles and and chalkboards across the whitewashed walls displaying the specials. The best part for me is the deli itself; if you something special for dinner but you don’t want to spend hours slaving over the stove you can purchase one of their home made pasta sauces which I can vouch are simply devine.
