The Ladies Mile Nature Reserve is a little strip of beauty sandwiched between the suburbs of Patcham and the obstreperous Asda in Hollingbury. You will always spot dog walkers, runners and families out for a stroll; it’s a relaxing place to escape to city and it’s just a few steps from my from door — lucky me! From here, the views are beautiful, and there is easy access to the South Downs with such highlights as Ditchling Beacon, Stanmer Park and the Chattri war memorial. I often run here, but sometimes I come just to wander, take photos and enjoy the scenery.
