We have over 300 vehicles and offer a variety of vehicle types including saloons, estates, 5 — 8 seaters and wheelchair accessible.

We offer reduced rate airport transfers and accept payment by cash, account or credit card. Monthly accounts can be set up for convenience, which means that all taxi journeys in a month can be billed at the beginning of the following month. Other benefits also include a priority service, password protection and personal taxi vouchers.

Brighton & Hove Radio Cabs was established in 1964.

It has been owned by the current Directors for over 20 years and has now very much become a family business.

We have been located on the corner of the Seven Dials in Brighton for over 15 years and have firmly become a service to rely on in the City.

We now use the latest windows based computer systems in our call centre and our cars are fitted with GPS tracked in-​car data systems with built-​in satellite navigation facility. This means that our cars can be tracked at all times and we are able to provide a more accurate and reliable service.

We always strive to lead the way with our technology and services, and will always do our best to provide a credible service.

I think this firm do get some things right - their drivers are professional and they are reasonably reliable when it's not peak demand or raining.

The main problem I have had is that (I've been told by the team) the service doesn't prioritise pre-bookings over those that come in 'at the time'. It's optional for drivers whether they want to fulfil any given booking or not. If it's busy, or raining, then pre-booking basically counts for nothing because the drivers choose longer journeys or closer jobs and reject your booking when it is allocated to them. This is good for the drivers in terms of them earning better money during busy periods - quite rightly - but it's very stressful for me as a customer: I do feel that pre-bookings come with an expectation that the booking is 'accepted' by the company and will be reasonably fulfilled.

I always allow for 20-30 minutes delay when using a taxi, I appreciate traffic/bad weather/availability of drivers can impact on things. Today there was no taxi allocated to my pre-booking more than half an hour after it should have been with me, and no estimates of when one would be with me. I've had this happen many times with my pre-bookings. This level of unpredictability and lack of assurance for pre-bookings is incredibly challenging for times when I rely on a pre-booked taxi to get me somewhere on time, or for safety reasons at night.

his is where google really needs to make a minus system cause 1 star just doesnt cut it, i actially feel sorry for buisnesses with 1 stars cause im sure they dont deserve to be in the same bracket as this cab service, here is my experience

An says fare too cheap
He then says area the postcode is near a neighbouring town not precise location
Base then says ill have to pay upwards of £60
i asked the lady at base if she needed the postcode to workout the price
SHE SAYS I DONT CARE WHAT POSTCODE IT IS
THATS THE PRICE
How did she work out the initial price so incorrectly given the postcode
How could a fare to the same postcode nearly double in price on route
How could she work out a new price without being given a new postcode
STEER WELL CLEAR If a company acts like this in broad daylight id hate to think what goes on after hours and im sure people would have heard all of the stories about cabbues after dark in brighton ladies i would be especially careful

Never had any problems with these guys and they seem to have always taken the same amount of time to come and go than Streamline and Radio Taxi.
414 141, it’s not quite as good as 204 060 or 747 474 for some reason that I can’t explain…

This and 747 474⁄202020 aka Streamline are the biggest, and most reliable, taxi companies in Brighton. And can’t say much about their prices, as they both seem much for muchness, and as you’d expect with taxis, always slightly overspriced. Nor can I say much about their driving, all I know is that a cab driver from 204 060 has never done a u-​turn on a dual carriage way which is more than I can say for some taxi drivers in Bristol! All in all these guys are reliable and worth having in your phone book.

Brighton Hove & Adur Car Cabs is run out of the same office as Brighton & Hove Radio Cabs and yet, they seem to take longer to arrive.
Maybe the cabbies like to take longer cigarette breaks? Or maybe they stop off at Billie’s for a cup of tea? Who knows. The taxis look the same as Radio Cabs and range from standard cars and London style cabs to people carriers but they are definitely not as punctual. I’ve also had one or two drivers saunter slowly when I’m in a rush to catch a train. The traffic isn’t their fault but arriving ten minutes later than promised is!
