History

Established in 1960.

The bunkhouse was originally set up as part of the National Trust’s Acorn Basecamp for working holidays and volunteer groups.

It has gone from being very basic accommodation with an outdoor shower block to the comfortable bunkhouse it is today.

We still have some of the original volunteer parties coming back time and time again to our bunkhouse in Kent, and we have now have their grown up children and grandchildren staying with us as well.

We have just started to let the bunkhouse out for kid’s parties too, so that another generation can enjoy this building.
