Our first visit since last Christmas. The Chop House has new owners who certainly know how to run a restaurant. Arriving early we were directed to their new cocktail lounge, upstairs. Great selection of cocktails and that guy makes a mean martini.
Our friends arrived and we were shown to a separate room with one table laid out for the eight of us. Nice to have the room to ourselves. Drinks order was taken and we had already ordered our Christmas dinner from the menu. The food, as expected, was delicious. Nicely cooked with excellent service. It turned out a fantastic evening.
One minor gripe from us all. We hated the wooden boards that the food was served on. Let’s get back to the old fashioned white plates.

A decent bistro. Good drinks (the tonic was fever tree and that tells you something), tasty food and friendly staff.
I had the Tuna Steak Salad, it was filling yet light, highly reccomended. The steak was delicious, perfectly cooked.

We’ve been a couple of times and the food is great and the wine is excellent. I find the staff friendly and helpful too. I will definitely be visiting again.
