This is a real old fashioned department store (grace brothers springs to mind!) located along the high st in braintre and can also be accessed via a side road off George Yard.
Downstairs is mostly given over to clothing for the more mature men and ladies (including formal dress hire for men). Whereas upstairs (via stair or and incredibly small and slow lift) you can purchase quality homewares and gifts. Also upstairs is a small school uniform section which a lot of people seem unaware of, but is actually very handy and well stocked.
A blast from the past but a lovely shopping experience with good old fashioned ‘service’.

This is quite an old-fashioned shop — sells quite a large selection of goods — there is an extensive ladies department but I dont think many youngsters would shop in there is mainly for the older lady — they have a selection of good quality gifts upstairs and at Christmas time have an evening where you can earn 10% discount on things so its worth waiting until one of these evenings comes up if you have a few things to buy — mean can hire evening suits etc so that saves buying them — they also have a good shoe department including children’s shoes so a good all-rounder shop

This is a superb traditional, family-run department store. The staff are extremely helpful and patient! There is a wide-range of designer women’s wear collections. These range from fashions for women in their 20s to women in their 60s. The younger ranges tend to be at the front of the store. There is also a perfume and make-up counter with expert staff and good quality accessories.
