This is based in the large victoria hotel and is quite an impressive if not unusual restaurant in the fact i dont think they actually have decided upon their own identity — their menu is a bit mix and match but the food is very yummy so they can be forgiven for that. While you can get the normal foods like steak and chips and that they actually take them and make them more ‘posh’ like and then charge exhorbinate prices for them. As i said the food is yummy but really expensive. I think most of the mat is cooked on a wood grill stove or something of the like as they do advertise that and there is the taste of barbecue with a hint of spices which is unusual but lovely. They also have some rather unusual dishes like duck and that which i would never try. The place is nice and cosy inside and the staff are lovely and polite — it doesnt get too busy there so you can have a quiet intimate meal without too much noise which is a plus. Just be prepared for the prices.
