Slug & Lettuce

OK food, took a long time before we got served! But really nice prices!

Food is generally good and the atmosphere is nice. Great on sunny days and always bustling after offices close. Unfortunately always let down by slow service and on occasion rude service.

Great starting point for any night out with friends. Two for one cocktails on a Saturday! Nice one! Great venue too with lots of tables and places to sit. Good cheesy tunes for the start of the night.
Also good for some reasonably priced pub style grub in the day time.

This is a drinky drink review. Happy hour lasts from 4 to close or from 4 to 10, 2−4−1 drinks. There are conflicting signs in the place but no matter. You can do serious damage either way.
Please, please, please order the drinks from the cocktail master. Ask the servers and they will tell you who he is. Hell, they told me. I ordered a drink from someone else, big mistake. My Long Island Ice Tea tasted like vodka and coke. Big no-​no. Took it back and let the professional fix me a new one. And he did so with no issues. He was actually disappointed in the person that fixed me the drink after tasting the drink I took back. The other bar tenders need to learn from this dude. Too bad you don’t tip in England because I would have handed this dude some cash for sure. Especially after all those delicious drinks he fixed me.

The Slug & Lettuce ist die erste Bar, in der ich in Bournemouth war und sie hat einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen.
Es ist eine schicke und grosse Bar, die sich sehen lassen kann. Es gibt ein umfangreiches Menu, das nicht immer das guenstigste, aber dafuer sehr lecker ist. Ich war zwar selbst nur zum Mittag da, kann mir aber auch sehr gut vorstellen, dass die Atmosphaere sehr gut fuer den Abend ist. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und man gibt gerne mal Trinkgeld.
Wenn man es etwas feiner mag als im Pub, dann sollte man Slug & Lettuce auf jeden Fall austesten!
