We decided to have lunch here on a rainy day in Boscastle. All of the indoor seating was taken, so we opted for a drizzly place outside. We made an excellent choice; this IS an amazing place. We all ordered the delicious tomato soup for a starter. 3 yums — excellent! Then for the main course, most of us ordered the fried squid with one of us ordering the quiche. The squid was 5 stars for sure. Sooooo fresh & delicious. The quiche was excellent too. One of the younger members of our party ordered a smoothie. Also excellent. Boscastle is a great place to visit in Cornwall — I will return, and when I do, I will plan for at least 2 meals at this delightful restaurant. Great service too.

The Harbour Light Tea Garden, is set apart from the main centre of Boscastle and adjacent to the Museum of Witchcraft. A good range of outdoor seating, which was bustling and full up on the day we visited, courtesy of it being a glorious summer’s day; the filled sandwiches and slices of cake looked very tasty, as they seemed to constantly arrive from the kitchen. We managed to get a table inside, and decided on light snack of a teacake and to sample the Tregothnan tea(Cornish tea). The peppermint tea was light and refreshing, just perfect for a hot summer’s day. The kitchen inside was a hive of activity, as more and more people descended on the tea rooms. We would have liked to sample more of the menu, but sadly we had a long journey ahead of us that day, but there’s always the next time we visit Boscastle!
