Longton Hall Farm

Loughton Hall Farm is a high-​quality little store that sells a great range of locally sourced English meat. They specialise in lamb, pork and poultry, and you can order by e-​mail and pick up your meat from a store of choice, or qualify for home delivery.
My favourite from here is the lamb because it’s always perfect. They even give advice on recipes and how best to cook the joint. If you were having a BBQ this would be a definite must-​visit.
Longton seems a little more expensive than supermarkets but is well worth it.
The only issue I have is that I don’t think it is well situated in a somewhat poorly ventilated shopping centre. The smell was a just a little too much for my nose. I also felt like anything I purchased in nearby stores would carry the scent.

Longton Hall farm has just two shops and, fortunately for me, Bootle proudly boasts one of them. Located in the heart of Strand shopping centre, the aroma of hot roasting chicken, spicy ribs and sausage drifts temptingly through Mariner’s Way: Irresistible. I have lured into this shop on innumerable occasions and I’m always more than satisfied with the standard of service, the condition of the shop and of course the quality of the food. Longton Hall sell raw and cooked meats. The beef which is truly delicious has a minimum 21 day maturation guarantee and the sausages are award winning! Kebabs and burgers are available freshly prepared, ready to just pop on the BBQ and there’s a delivery service so you don’t even have to leave the house to collect them!
The rotisserie chickens have to my favourite; they’re ust so tasty! Piping hot or left to cool for salads and sandwiches the meat is so tender and juicy. nom nom.
The are special end-​of-​day sales where unsold chiken is quartered and packaged and sold for about £1 a box, bargain!
