The Chinese Buffet

Food poor. Boiled rice is crunchy, Sweet and sour chicken is poor. Would not recommend to anyone.

It’s distinctly average. Would recommend to children aged 11 – 16 looking for a bit of food for a reasonable price or large groups. Not going to win any awards but pretty sturdy.

Parked across the road in the multi story car park which is free. Staff were friendly and professional, food was good but standard Chinese restaurant deep fried and full of additives. There was fruit and salad however which all look fresh and well prepared. I would recommend as it’s reasonably priced but it’s just standard takeaway type food. Overall a good place to eat though if you’re not picky.

It’s a smarter and more pleasant affair than the average Chinese Buffet, and the staff are friendly, professional and knowledgable, but the food on offer is the same quality and offering as every other.
Sadly, several of the foods just sat in metal containers and congealed, or were «slightly warm» at best. Even the chips. It wouldn’t take a lot to keep the food fresh/​replenished, or at least give it a stir now and then.
Much of the food however, was perfectly stored and kept hot, it’s just a shame that it wasn’t consistent throughout, meaning that the quality varied, and left me unsatisfied.
HOWEVER… the desserts were lovely! Fruit, cake, jelly, rice pudding, popcorn, cheesecakes, mousses and jellies, a self serve ice cream machine serving excellent quality milk ice cream (complete with sauces and sprinkles), and… A CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN avec MARSHMALLOWS! Woo!
Although the food was hit-​and-​miss, the desserts were fab, and for the price, it’s hard to complain!

Not The Chinese Buffet, but THE Chinese Buffet! A massive room above the shops opposite the market hall, it included menus fom all kinds and types of asian cuisine. Sushi, teppenyaki, stirfry, soup and desserts. There were also fresh pancakes and a chocolate fountain. Great value with my Taste Card, and they even came out and sang happy birthday to my other half, with a small cake and chocolate spread. I will definitely go again if I am in the area.
