A1 Mirrors

Sadly since Qype have been taken over by Unilocal all of the atrocious reviews for this company have disappeared. The company now seem to have gone bankrupt and taken all of their customers money with them. On the plus-​side they have clearly been told to remove their website. Unilocal were only able to locate one of my reviews (from August) below. I think it’s still worth posting in case A1 Mirrors rear their ugly heads again.
«Call me cynical, but it seems that for every bad review a customer posts strangely two or three ‘5 star’ posts appear the next day to bring their ratings back up…
Avoid this company like the plague. They seem very charming when you first place the order, but we have had to resort to the small claims court to get our money back. They did not deliver for weeks and we had to several letters before we could even get delivery. When they did eventually arrive the specification was wrong, rendering the mirrors useless to us. They have not rectified the fault.
The company DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. They have a third-​party answer service (absolutely nothing to do with A1 Mirrors, they just take messages) — the answer service are very friendly, but not much help to us. Once A1 Mirrors have your money they are not at all interested.
If you have problems with A1 Mirrors PLEASE, PLEASE REPORT THE COMPANY TO TRADING STANDARDS. If you don’t report them they can just carry on their cowboy business, taking money from people and not delivering the goods.»

Was told my mirror would arrive in 5 – 7 working days. I am still waiting 2 weeks later and when trying to ascertain how much longer I have to wait, my emails and phone calls have been ignored. ‘We will call you back’, what a load of rubbish! Deal with it now like any other professional business would do. Very disappointed, not a ‘dedicated mirror company’ as stated on their website. Would not recommend this company.
