Sat here after the waitress said she’d come and take our order. Nearly 10 minutes later we were still waiting(I even went to the toilet in that time), so took our business elsewhere.

Absolutely no idea why other reviewers have complained here. One has issues with their self-image and the other watches gala shows! On the flip side, this is the second time I’ve been to Toast and each time the staff have been friendly and helpful. The food is hot and delicious(especially the lamb koftas), but a little on the expensive side. If you want to be quite full off a meal, you’ll have to order a ‘light bite’ as well as a main meal, so expect to pay £12-£15 for your food. Drinks-wise there’s a lot to choose from. They have peroni on-tap and drinks ranging from mint-chocolate frappuccinos to tea, hot chocolates and the most amazing fruit smoothies(seriously, try the berry smoothies — you won’t find them anywhere like these, and they’re only about three/four quid a pop). It doesn’t look like much from the outside but on the inside its a rather nice little ‘gem’ of a place. Dress code tends to be casual in the early afternoon to smart casual in the evening. Although a little expensive, it’s worth going just to try it once.

I’ve been there twice. I’ve dined inside and outside and both times it’s been quite poor. It looks like a classy joint but the food is below par and the service is quite poor. They seem to employ people who look like they are in Hollyoaks but I’m not swayed by pretty faces and trendy types. While I was waiting for my food on my first visit another customer approached me and warned me not to order a burger as he had just had one and was very disappointed with it. My food was also rubbish. West Coast Rock Café, The Med(above Anne Summers), Rose & Crown, Quilligans, Pizza Express are all within a couple of minutes of this place and are all better!

I went to toast bar and grill on sat with my boyfriend the food was lovely a little too much mixed lettuce though, the waiter couldnt do enough for you, the food and drinks were not bad price wise depending what you buy and it was very peaceful. the only problem i had was the older couple who sat on the table next to us they kept looking me up and down and snidey looks and made me feel really uncomfortable like i shouldnt be there and i dont like. That thats why i didnt stay for a pudding or another drink but its not the café/restaurants fault so i‘m not blaming them i just hate rude people and they ruined my enjoyment.

I recently visited toast during a weekend away for a friend’s birthday. The food was lovely. Our waiter, as keen as he was to do his very best, didn’t have the greatest grasp of the English language(he told us he was on a year’s placement in the UK from a French catering school) and got our orders wrong. However, it was rectified very efficiently and the staff were very keen to ensure it didn’t ruin our night. Would definitely recommend

Had a really nice lunch here. The food was spot on, very tasty and satisfying without overfacing you.

I recently visited toast on the recommendation of my friend, she was right to recommend it, it was fantastic!!! I went with my husband and our children. The menu catered for us all every thing from burgers for my eldest two, even a gorgeous fillet steak for my husband. They even had a children’s menu that was perfect for our youngest. The staff were very helpful and made us feel so welcome. Complements to the chef’s! We will definitely be back, and well recommend to our friends too! Thanks for an enjoyable experience

The food was shocking. I sent back the first steak for being tough as old boots. The replacement came 20 mins later while my table mate was still waiting for his burger and chips. The veg was boiled to death. There was a power cut mid meal. The second steak was average and when I was charged £16 I paid just to get out and get to the gala show. Katy the waitress was a star and deserved a tip. Stay away, go to macdonalds, anywhere but here.

The latest café/bar to open in Blackpool. I decided to try it one day for a change a few weeks after it opened and wasn’t impressed with either the food or the service. I wouldn’t have said they were busy but we still waited 30min for a sandwich and soup. In fact they forgot our order. When it arrived the soup was cold — even colder as they forgot to give me a spoon so I has to wait for that to arrive as well. With my soup I also had a blue cheese sandwich — I’d asked if it has salad in it and I was assured it did, when it arrived what I actually got was half a roll with 4 rough lumps or blue cheese in it. After all the fuss I just wanted to get out of the place! There are much nicely café’s than this in Blackpool — around the corner in fact I would suggest giving this place a wide birth as not only is it poor on service I paid an expensive £6 for my cold soup and 4 lumps of cheese
