Tool Stall

I love this place. Whenever I need any nails, bulbs, hinges, tape or anything to fix up my studio in Digbeth, I come here.
It doesn’t have a name but you can’t miss it, huge stall by the doors leading to the outdoor market. I can’t comment on the friendliness of the staff because I don’t think I’ve ever even exchanged words, just piled my bargains into his hands, he bags them up, I pay and get gone.
Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the city and need to do any emergency DIY, it will save you a fortune too.

Another of those mysterious businesses in the Rag Market that seems to be able to operate without a name, let alone new fangled gimmickry like websites, this tool stall is situated near the doors of the Rag Market hall, the doors nearest the outdoor market. As you might have guessed by the witty name I have chosen for it, this stall mostly sells tools and hardware. One of the things that immediately hits your eyes as you see the stall is the range — it’s actually several stalls wide and probably has as much stock as many independent DIY shops. It seems like they have each and every size of screwdriver, spanner and ratchet available.
There’s also a selection of things like hinges and locks. The prices are dirt cheap as they are in most of the stalls in the three markets in this area. The guy who runs the stall knows what he’s talking about so you can probably get some DIY advice for free if you play your cards right.
All in all, this is the place I’d send people to if the asked me where to go for tools and hardware in the city centre.
