TipTop Photography Studios have two full time photographers based from their large well equipped photography studio in Birmingham.

Specialising in many areas of photography:

People, product, event, wedding and photography training courses.

Our clients include corporate companies such as MTV, NHS through to members of the public wishing to have family images taken.

The studio is available for hire 7 days a week.

The firm offers a variety of photography to businesses, which can be intended to be cost effective at all times. With a fully equipped studio, the business also has trained staff enabling clients to obtain fantastic images.

History

Established in 2006.

Owned by husband and wife team Deb & Steve TipTop are well equipped to deal with your requirements.

Having worked out of three studios in the Jewellery Quarter, the forth is by far the biggest and best to date.

Steve Underhill — Principle Photographer & Techinical Director

Steve specialises in lighting and the technical aspects of photography. With that in mind, his work aims to accurately capture the creative vision of both Steve and the people/​products he photographs.

Steve is the resident tutor at Tiptop Photography Ltd — from 2011 Steve has coached over 1000 people in the subject of photography.

Steve also teaches Photography at University College Birmingham on the Degree course for Advanced hair and make up for photography.

Steve is responsible for all product photography within TipTop Photography Ltd — working in the dedicated product photography suite images are captured and transformed into eye catching shots.

Steve also spends time in the studio working with models and photographers and is also responsible for the corporate photography carried out at events/​companies within the UK.

Tip Top Photography is an amazing Company!
Deb and Steve are professional, yet friendly and so helpful.
As photographers, their images are edgy, different and superb quality. I have two friends and family member that have had their wedding photos done by Deb, Steve and the team and they were fantastic.
As trainers, they are both approachable and have the talent to get even a novice like me shooting photos to a standard that is pretty amazing.
What I have learnt from them in the short time I have been on their courses is phenomenal and I am so very happy with the results.
I would highly recommend anyone to use Tip Top Photography.

This photography studio has been here for 10 years (10 YEARS) and I had the pleasure of visiting it for the first time a couple of months ago. When my fabulous nail lady Beena moved premises to Tip Top and gave me directions, I was totally confused… «Which photography studio in the JQ?»…
Once you have located it (there are signs outside) and climbed the staircase, you’ll be greeted by one of the residents of the building. The studio is at the back of the set up with a bathroom, beauticians, office space and an agency all housed together. The studio itself is wonderful. Not huge, but set out with distinct areas for different styles of photoshoots. There is also a dressing room at the back for touching up your style pre-​shoot.
As well as product shoots, the studio do private shoots, themed event days (where live animals come into the studio), family shoots and photography courses. I’m pretty confident that you could become a Tip Top photographer yourself under the care of Debbie and Steve.
This is a gem of a photography studio in the Jewellery Quarter. If you’re looking to have some shots done, I thoroughly recommend it!

Tip Top Photography, tucked away in the Jewellery Quarter, is a really nice place to get some photies taken!
I discovered the studio recently, at an evening of photography and cocktails organised by Unilocal.As part of the event we each got complimentary head shots taken by the Tip Top crew. I’m quite camera shy, especially in a room full of people, but the photographer and director were really friendly and professional and put me at ease quickly. I was advised on where to stand, in which direction to look and how I could pose, whilst the photographer snapped away. Shortly after the event I got one of the finished head shots by email — easy peasy!
The studio is quite large and well equipped. They have a range of different backdrops and props for you to use, ranging from a scroll top bathtub to a tiny wooden horse. There’s even a dedicated sprucing up area at the back, should you require a quick costume change.
I would definitely recommend Tip Top to anyone who wants to get some professional photos taken. They are friendly and professional and it was a fun experience!

«Woohoo! As good as it gets!»
That’s the little blurb Unilocal says when I select 5 stars and it really does sum up my experience with them.
I had three head shots taken and edited by the team there. Now I’m not the world’s most photogenic person, but I will say I wish I had those guys do my lighting whenever I met someone! when you are not so confident with those kinda situations they made me feel at ease and we did get some great shots. I really enjoyed the whole experience and felt the finished product was brilliant! (5 stars worthy in my impression)
The part I enjoyed the most about the studio was the huge variety of settings they could create. The different lighting set ups and loads of fun props.
In conclusion, I will say they are very helpful, professional and did a brilliant job while not taking a age so it felt like I was using my time there very efficiently.

I visited Tip Top photography for a Unilocal event.
Steve & Deb were excellent hosts considering we were a large and rather loud group.
They got us to pose for our photos and managed to get us to focus on having our pictures taken.
The upstairs venue has a large main room with a variety of wall covers and floor covers to create many different types of photo shoot. There are lots of plush chairs around to have a sit down on too while you prepare yourself.
They are right on the very corner of the main road so keep an eye out or you will trot on past them.
I’m looking forward to seeing how my photos turn out! Thank you guys!
