My favourite chippy! The chips are just so yummy and a large portion is just over a pound so good value for money.

Very rarely will you find a fast food takeaway with a menu as diverse as Erdington ‘s Tasty Fryer. This spotlessly clean, no-frills eatery sells almost anything from traditional British Fish & Chips to Indian sheesh kebabs and Cantonese spring rolls, all three of which are on offer for just £1! The value for money here is extraordinary, the kitchen and seating area are clean and it’s great to see such a wide range of international fast food dishes all under one roof, but it’s disheartening to see such a good package let down by rude staff. On my visit, one worker tried to rush me into making a purchase as I was looking at the menu. He spoke to me in a very unpleasant tone and short-changed me after I’d paid for my food, before rolling his eyes when I pointed out his mistake. The food, turnaround and pricing here are all top-notch, but if you’re after service with a smile, this really isn’t the place for you.
