If you can serve good duck the rest will most probably also be good. While enjoying Indian food, the typically long menus tend to be overwhelming, especially when tired and hungry. Decided to stick with the manageable chef speciality sections and it was great and interesting variations on traditional curry dishes, venison starter and duck mains. While I nbormally find it it a bit off putting when someone stairs at your food, some of the other dishes being served was impossible not to attract attention and looked and smelled really great even if you tried to ignore it. The place was recommened by a local and did live up. It was not busy at the time and while there are negative comments about service at busy times, the service was OK when visited just after 18:00 although it started to get busy at 19:30

wasnt impressed ordered lentil (tarka) dhall for a starter bit runny and tasteless my starter sag paneer was delish the prawn bhuna was just all right in hindsight i should have ordered king prawn bhuna the special nan bread was fresh and flavoursome poppadoms and sauces were nice a good selection the main of chicken tikka was good smoth meat sizzle sizzle onions were nice and toasty on the skillet
£31.45 with 2 glasses of house white and a bottle of sparkling water
nothing special just ok
the menu is great reading though venison crab scallops and rabbit i was very intriugied

Excellent food, staff are always pleasant and look after you well. The menu includes more unusual, and very delicious fine dining items, as well as the usual curry, tandoori and balti essentials.
