popped in on speck to get my laptop screen repaired. They were great — it was done in no time and I was up and running. Will definitely be back — they don’t rip you off

Having a fully working computer is really important for me; because that’s the only way I do my day job and my business stuff. So, when my laptop recently broke down, I was in bits because I thought it was all over. I didn’t have the money to purchase a brand new laptop so I had to find a way to fix the problem. The problem I had was that the laptop was over heating and it seemed that there was a huge virus on my system. So, I decided not to use a local computer repair shop– I decided to go all the way to Selly Oak because I’d once again been recommended this place by my very helpful network of friends. According to them, this was the place to get all your computer problems fixed; so I thought I’d try it out. I also didn’t have much money to spend on getting the problem fixed; so was even happier when I was told it would only cost me £50 for a full repair and software update. My laptop did work after they fixed it and it’s been in full working condition ever since I went there. It no longer over-heats and I had new virus updates installed on my laptop. Overall, a fantastic service from a local Selly Oak establishment!

I have atrocious luck when it comes to technology, from mobile phones to xbox consoles and especially computers, you name it and they have fallen apart in front of me. As such, I am often forced to take my pieces of ailing technology to places such as Computer Express. In many of these establishments I have been quoted ludicrous prices and have often left feeling as though taking my money and not fixing my problem have been the sole aims of these businesses. However, Computer Express has restored my faith in such places, with good staff and an emphasis on helping the customer as opposed to emptying their wallet. They offer a no fix no fee service which lessens the chance of the customer being ripped off and increases the likelihood that they will do all and sundry to fix your computer. So if you are a bit of a technophobe like myself then let the guys at Computer Express ease your worries.

When my years old laptop began falling to pieces in front of my very eyes as I approached a crucial point in my degree, I was forced to weigh up what I wanted to do. After deciding to persevere with my less than adequate behemoth of a laptop, I called around several places(including some of the big chains) and balked at the prices I was being quoted for what I had assumed would be a relatively easy job(I needed the laptop opening up and the power input soldered), with some places going up to around £130 to do it within a week. I was delighted, therefore, when I called Computer Express and was quoted just £70, by far and away the best price I’d had. Even better, rather than warning me of a waiting list several weeks long, they said they would have it done overnight. The job was done well, and all the professional criteria, such as a copy of the receipt, were fulfilled. Although I probably haven’t been as gentle with my geriatric laptop as I should’ve been given its various health problems, their fix has proved durable and shows no signs of trouble over a year later. Whilst I have no more experience than this one single anecdote, I would definitely recommend Computer Express.
