R Clarke and Sons butchers is as the name suggests run by a father and son and still remains a family orientated business. The shop is at the very bottom of the town centre and is practically alone as all the shops around it have now unfortunately closed. The shop is as the name suggests a butchers but also offers delicious sandwiches all freshly made up in the shop. The sandwiches are gorgeous and very reasonably priced. The shop is now well known and used by locals and workers in the area who often pop in to buy a sandwich on their dinner hour. A lovely clean shop with a friendly atmosphere and great food.

When practically the town around this shop has disappeared over the years Clarke’s butchers now stands by itself and has done so for many years.
Still butchers thou the main business is sandwiches what are all made on the premises.
The shop is run by farther and sons and is still in business because of the passing trade
The shop is absolutely spotless and everything about it is done to a high standard and it beats any other sandwich outlet in the area.
