My sister introduced me to this terrific french café/patisserie/creperie and it is a real find. It’s located in an annexe to the Burton Art Gallery in a small park next to the estuary. The hot chocolate is rich and properly made(not an instant hot water job) and the cakes and pastries are mouthwatering. If you’re not very hungry(the portions are generous) you can opt for individual cookies, financiers, macaroons and madelines. The prices are really reasonable too and you can soak up some culture as the large seating area is decorated with local artists’ works that are(mostly) for sale.
