Wilko’s is great for an odd bag of nails or a bit of paint when you can’t be bothered to go all the way to Focus or B&Q. They also have things you often can’t find anywhere else in town, like caustic soda which I seem to use abundantly on my recalcitrant drains. They also have a small range of dirt cheap bicycle accessories(e.g. pedals for £2.99 a few months ago) and wiring and faceplates for satellite and network/modem connections. It’s all a bit of a hotch-potch really but now Woolies is no more I think Wilkinson’s will come into its own.

If you shop at Wilkinson then you will know what they stock, although this store is rather on the small side so doesn’t have the fullest of ranges. Upstairs is rather cramped and packed in, not always having all size ranges of products. Staff are helpful if you need to find a product, other than that the store is as good as any other in this company.
