The George is ideally situated on Berkhamsted High Street, a little towards the Northchurch end of the town centre. The pub is usually bustling and holds a wide variety of drinks behind the bar. Apparently the bar has a fairly lax ID policy, it being a favorite of an underage crowd on Friday nights. Not necessarily a bad thing, although this can lead to some commotion outside the pub on certain nights. Compared with some of the pubs in Berkhamsted The George probably falls in the lower end of the spectrum, however it is certainly not an awful place to frequent.
