The Basement

I have good and bad things to say about this business, which is where the 3 star rating has come from. Had I received better customer service, they would have got a 4. Take note, Basement boss.
The Basement offer what is fast becoming an indispensable service, especially if you have kids who are careless with their expensive games consoles. They repair PSPs, DS lites, play stations (2 and 3) and Wii consoles. They can also repair scratched CDs and DVDs. How clever is that?
When number two son broke the inside of his PSP we assumed that we would just have to fork out for a new one. At £135. Then I noticed the Basement and they said they could easily fix it for £25. Excellent. So 2 weeks passed and then 3. The husband called on a Friday afternoon and they said it was fixed and would be ready for collection on Monday. To be on the safe side I waited till the Tuesday and then went into collect it. And it wasn’t there. And the member of staff displayed epic levels of disinterest and just stopped short of saying ‘computer says no’. After much gnashing of teeth I left in disgust. And I’m still waiting 3 days later for a call to say that it’s ready.
So, what they can do is an excellent service, the way they go about it is not excellent.
As we ‘go to press’, I’m still waiting…
