History
Established in 2005.
re: store is a social economy project of East Belfast Mission (EBM). In 2005 EBM had 2 small charity shops on the Newtowards Road in Belfast. Connswater opened in Feb 2009. There are now 8 re: store shops based in Belfast, Antrim, Ards and Larne, plus a Vintage shop with bridal department in Belfast city centre, and a re: furb project also in Belfast. East Belfast Mission has been a registered charity since 1985 but goes back to the soup kitchens of the 1800’s. There are many projects within EBM and the income from the shops helps to sustain these projects — Homeless hostel, employability project, meals on wheels, youth work, counselling.
