Description

Specialties

Redeemer Central is a church community in Belfast seeking to shape our lives around the way of Jesus as we love and serve our city.

We gather together every Sunday at our venue in the heart of the city (10:30am at 101 Donegall St.) and scatter to smaller gatherings — called CityGroups — in various locations across Belfast throughout the week.

Everyone is welcome and we would love to have you join with us.

History

Established in 2009.

Redeemer Central began in a living room in February 2009 with a group of people gathering together asking question; ‘What would it look like to be an expression of the church in our nation?‘

In early 2009 David and Trish Capener and their children moved back to Belfast. Beginning with a small group of people asking this question, ‘What would it look like to be an expression of the church in our nation?‘

What began in a living room continued to grow and gather in homes, restaurants, music venues and theatres across the city. Many more have joined with us and as the community grows the vision continues to be the same — to live out the story of Jesus in Belfast and seek to love and serve our city.

Having been given the use of a city centre venue in 2012 Redeemer Central gathers together in the heart of Belfast City at our Sunday Gatherings and during the week in City: Groups — local expressions of Redeemer in various locations across the city.
