It’s a love hate role. Somebody has got to do it. I’m glad it’s me. I’ve been at this job almost all my life and I can honestly say it can still amaze me.

We are all creative people and that means we all have the potential to be wreckless, and without good grounding and a strategy you can find yourself in the wildernesst.

At NB we won’t let this happen. People who work on their own gut instinct and are prepared to give it a go are worth a ten of those who are solely formula driven. You know what I mean «I’ve got a certificate to prove it» breed, churned out by the education factories.

However gut insticts need to be controlled and channelled in order to achieve the result we want and take us to where we planned to be.

I’m always a little suspicious of rules surrounding Creativity. Rules exist to keep you safe. Who wants safe creative… not me, but weighing up the objective and acheiving the goal does require a mixture of inspiration and persperation.
