Escap3d

A group of eight of us did this tonight and really enjoyed it. You basically get locked in a room for an hour and have to try to escape the room. I won’t give anything away about the game but it makes you think and also search for clues. It’s great to do in a group and you’ll have fun and get really into it once you get started. I would recommend this to everyone, and will definitely return if they make another escape room which there is talk of. The guy was friendly and helpful and seemed passionate about the game. Drinks were provided in case you got thirsty which was nice.
One thing to note, it can be a little tricky to find the place (which seems to be part of the puzzle!) so allow time to get there, and use the directions on their website!

What a great idea! If you liked the krypton factor or Crystal maze this is right up your street (if you can find it)
Locked in a room for 1 hour your instructions will be minimal, so bring your thinking cap.
I really don’t want to say much more cause if I do there’s a chance I may spoil it for you, or help which would be worse cause we didn’t make it out in time!!!
Use the offer on the Unilocal and you can bring to 8 people. Though many chefs can spoil the broth!
Definitely something different and well worth a try!

Get locked in room for one hour. Try and get out. Simple concept really.
This is definitely up there in the top things you have to do. It’s quirky and not your average night with friends (if they are still your friends after).
The first challenge is to find this place. With no signposts we spent a long time driving around the industrial estate until we saw a car drive up to what looked like a locked gate and watched it magically open up. We had read reviews so luckily left lots of time to find this venue (I recommend reading these on the site).
So what is this you ask? If I told you then you wouldn’t need to go anymore.
Basically you are locked in a room with a key pad and you have to work out the code to get out. There are clues hidden all around the room and if pieced together you will get out (and get your money back!).
At first you have no idea where to start but then as the clues build up the intensity increases.
This is somewhere you can only go once but there are talks of opening a second room with a different ‘Theme’ and I will definitely be first in line to go.
Such good fun and suddenly you feel you should be on CSI with your new found detective skills. Just make sure your friendships are firm before you start shouting at everyone for being stupid.
Ps. No… We didn’t get out :(
