Here at Access Able Ltd, we sell and hire a range of mobility products in Bristol. Providing more independence and self-​sufficiency, our wide selection of mobility equipment means that we will have something to suit all abilities and budgets, with pre-​owned, reconditioned products available.

History

Established in 2003.

After 20 years of running a successful construction business, Bob Sansom founded Access Able in 2003.

Prompted by the sad loss of his father who experienced mobility problems in his later years, Bob’s building work increasingly focused on the disability sector — making life-​changing adaptations to people’s homes. Seeing the impact that alterations to bathrooms and kitchens and the fitting of mobility ramps and handrails had on the quality of customers’ lives, was a massive influence on Bob’s decision to establish Access Able.

Now, with an extensive range of mobility and home care products to assist the elderly, disabled and infirm, Access Able continues to blossom.

Access Able is very much a family run business. Bob’s Mum used to work in the shop before she sadly passed away in 2010. Her legacy has been passed on to Bob’s daughters. Angela keeps a tight rein on the company finances and Lisa looks after marketing and advertising.

He says:
