History

Established in 1995.

Spice Island is situated in the heart of Barnard Castle on the historic Market Place. it is a family run business and has been in the same family since 1995. The site was completely transformed in May 2006, the designer interior strikes the right balance between contemporary and informal, overall the effect is tranquil and completely relaxing.

Manager

Zak Ahmed has been manager of the business since 2002 and has been introducing new innovative ideas over the years to make the Restaurant stand out from the rest.

In recent years he has helped Spice Island to be recongnised all over the UK and win a string of Awards against some of the leading businesses in the industry
