Oregano Restaurant

I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for ages. It recently won a number of prestigious awards for its excellence so I wanted to see for myself what all the fuss was about. We (my boyfriend and I) booked a table for Saturday evening as we were going to Mossley Mill theatre later that evening and decided a bite of pre theatre food was on the ‘menu’. Well, we arrived and were ushered to our seats by the waitress who took our drinks order than left us to browse the menu. I was totally taken with the minimalist décor, abstract pictures and light airy space. The restaurant oozed class and style and felt comfortable at the same time. We decided we would choose from the pre theatre menu which offered two courses for £17.95 or three for £19.95. This was good value as it had our preferred choices available, and we immediately saved a few pounds by doing so. (N.B. this place isn’t cheap!) Anyway, we decided on a Caesar salad for me and a chicken parfait for the boyfriend to start with, then for mains I had a gorgeous grilled salmon and he had the juicy slow cooked pork belly. The food was absolutely delicious! Not a thing wrong with any of it, it was all cooked to perfection. I really can’t fault this place and I can understand why it won those awards as it really is delicious food and the restaurant is classy, elegant, and trendy all at the same time. I was also very impressed with the service we received. We decided to be sneaky and share a Baileys & Guinness cheesecake for our dessert which was served with a scoop of home made ice cream. A big fab 5* for this prestigious restaurant.

One word, wonderful! Oregano is Belfast best kept secret!
I went to Oregano Restaurant with a few of my friends, it certainly lived up to my expectations. The food was absolutely superb.
Its so nice to have somewhere out of Belfast serving fresh home cooked food and I see that they have their own herb garden, nice touch! The staff are great and me and my friends had a good night out. I will be be visiting again soon.
