We are hybrid MMA style club which incorporates striking, takedowns, throws, strangles, chokes & submissions, which has been put together from thai boxing, jiu jitsu, wrestling & judo and has a structured grading system so you can progress through the belts to achieve your black belt.

Business Owner
Your instructor John Harrison has had 32 years experience within the fitness & martial arts world he holds 2 black belts which are in ju jitsu & karate and a brown belt in judo. A bodybuilding champion and ex gym owner he started training at the age of 15 in shotokan karate. In 1985 while training in karate he seen a article in a karate magazine by Dave Lea on weight training to improve your martial arts so he went out and bought himself a set of weights and from that day he was hooked. After the club disbanded he spent all his time weight training & power lifting, after training at the old YMCA gym he thought he would take it a step further so he joined Tom’s Gym and it was here he started competing in bodybuilding, he has competed for various gyms within the North West area, he also trained at the Dutch national champions gym in Roosendaal whilst living in Holland. A few years after he returned to the UK he resumed training in karate in the mid 90’s after training for about a year
