Vue Cinema

I’ve been to Vue at Cribbs a fair few times over the years but it had been a while before I went again on Saturday. I took my girls hot on the heels of our successful family day out the previous weekend to our local, single screen cinema. What a contrast!
The entrance was fancy, the door to each screen had a great big number and star handle entrance. The screen was big and the seats were laid out well but that’s as good as it got.
The snacks area was deserted and having spent quite a few minutes looking for the prices of popcorn I reluctantly approached the counter to ask the price. Unsurprisingly the popcorn was very expensive but what bugged me was Vue’s reluctance to clearly state what their prices were. The only thing across the top signs (like the ones you get in McDonalds) was their combo meal. Pointing this out to the member of staff who served me I was told it wasn’t him who chose what goes up there. True but he could have passed on my feedback or at least act like he hasn’t been told that a million times. There were two options of sizes of popcorn, 30p difference in cost between the two. So no one is going to choose the smaller size. What a choice you offer Vue.
The price of the ticket was gobsmacking after my local cinema, especially for a Dad taking two young children. Going in, the cinema was empty, I would guess 10% full. Why not reduce tickets for children during the day for certain young children films. Get kids in to going to the cinema and then you can make money out of them later. Sell small children portion snacks and you’ll make some of that money back.
Oh and my seat was dirty. Even the VIP seats looked average compared to other places I’ve been.
Well I won’t be returning if I have a choice but I’m not turning my back on going to the cinema, there are cheaper and better options out there. Start thinking about your customer experience Vue because that’s the difference between sitting at home, watching illegally downloaded films and going to the cinema.

Great cinema would highly recommend it, loved VIP seats but hate the fact I paid for them then had to turf somone one out who was sat in my seat!
Tbh they were a little rude about how they were comfy and that they got the seat warm for me but I paid for them do never felt guilt.
Really good selection of food there and good selection of restrant near by as well

Could be better for parking but we go to watch the movies after all. Clean and tidy place.

The Vue Cineamas are great, great seats, great quality, great staff. Just extremely steep prices but then again for such a great service its worth it.

Vue Cinema is a big venue, at the Venue in Cribbs Causeway and is a great accompanyment to the next-​door bowling alley and games area. The Venue is always a safe-​bet as the latest releases are airing and they have a selection of big and small viewing rooms. The seats are really comfy, too!
I can’t put my finger on it, but there’s something not quite right about the cinema. It may be the bland atmosphere, or the layout-​but something isn’t as it shoudl be. hmmmm, i will have a ponder about that!

This ia very large cinema with well stocked food, and many films of all varieties available. The parking is shared with other nearby resturants et cetera and parking can become hard to find in busy periods. The cinema itself is generaly very clean, and staff seem semi-​helpful. Prices of tickets are a bit heavier, but you can book from online, and use automated machines to speed up the process. The seating in the cinema is better than that of the odeon and other cinemas. They also offer discounts for students, pentioners and registered disabled (with carers). Disabled parking and seating is available.

The staff were friendly, however I had to wait in line a very long time to get a drink/​ice cream as it was very busy. Same with the toilets afterwards. Nice big screens, and great sound, very clean inside, would go back again, but perhaps not on a Saturday night.

This Vue cinema (formerly Warner Village) Bristol is one of two multi-​plex cinemas in the city — the other being more traditional of the two. The Vue has the upper edge in my opinion, due to its better standards in furnishings and general presentation. There are 8 screens here, all showing the latest films throughout the day and into the evening. There is also always a lot of catering options, from popcorn to tacos and drinks to sweets. These have always seemed really expensive, but this is expected due to the venues ‘genre’; probably worth buying snacks upfront in a supermarket. Entry is always expensive too.

I love this cinema although it is always rammed on weds for orange wednesday. loads of screens so always a great selection of movies with great food and drink concessions

i love the vue cinema complex in cribbs causeway! a great cinema with friendly staff, i espeically like the fanta frozens they sell.

The drinks are fantastic and me and my girlfriend share a large fanta frozen.

This is a lovely set out, up to date cinema. The service is good and it is genuinely clean. The toilets are keep quite up to date and it is situated very near other aminitys such as, Hollywood Bowl, some restaurants and the Mall Cribbs Causeway. The only down side is the prices for food and drink and the tickets are not that cheap either unless you watch a film on a Saturday or Sunday morning, selected films only for £1.50 per child and a adult goes free. Any extra adults are also charge £1.50 each.
