My local branch for the last 12 years, I don’t tend to go in much as I do most of my banking online or draw the dosh from the ATMs. Whenever I have been in to the branch, the staff are very friendly, I always get called by my first name, which some people may not like, but I much prefer the casual approach. I wanted to cancel an additional account the other day, I was waiting a little while as the member of staff sorted this for me, whilst this was going on, the bank manager came to the desk waiting for the member of staff’s attention, I stood back and let the manager before me, the member of staff swiftly told me that I was the customer and I came first, which the manager re-iterated. This was a nice touch to be made to feel important, but I didn’t mind at all.
