My favorite for a quick coffee break when in Aberdare. used many times now. Excellent menu providing something for all. Clean and tidy. Staff helpful anf efficient. A long established business.

I think this is the best café in the town and it’s certainly got the most choice. You find a table and then order at the counter, telling them where you’re sitting, and they bring it over when it’s ready. There are many hot meals and light snacks available, including baguettes and toasties, burgers(including a delicious vegetarian spicy beany) and omelettes. There are different coffees too, cakes and Italian ice cream in wonderful flavours. The staff seem quite pleasant and helpful. The café is quite long with tables going to the far end of the long room. There are steps part way along but the front part of the shop(at street level) is accessible to everyone. There are plastic tablecloths and the décor is a bit jaded but clean, with attractive pictures on the walls, and plants here and there. My only criticism would be that the cutlery(which you collect yourself from a tray) was a bit smeary. Not actually dirty I don’t think(I hope not) but probably washed but not rinsed from the soapy water). I gave ours a good wipe with a napkin before we used it!

Nice for breakfasts — and snacks — one of the better places in town. Well priced, nice food, the decoration is a bit tacky but ok. Not much else to say really!

Fantastic home cooked food here. Its a bit pricey but the service is good and the breakfasts are huge. It filled up with school children when I was there but, its a big place with more seats outside.
