On my vacation to Turkey, I went to Nevsehir(central Turkey) and went on three different tour: Hot Air Balloon Tour, Green Tour, and Red Tour. The Hot Air Balloon Tour was amazing, on this tour, we were first given a traditional breakfast with fruits, rolls, meats, coffee and tea. After breakfast we headed up the mountain to the balloons where they were filling them up and launching them. This tour was spectacular. The sites and photos taken were of the town and cave entrances to cave homes that are still occupied to this day originally occupied by the Assyrian Empire around 8th century BC. The next day, I went on the Green Tour which was by far my favorite. On this tour, we toured the underground city in Cappadocia, where this city was established and occupied in 6th century BC. This was so amazing! The engineering mentality of the Christians in the day was survival. The rooms were large with painted fresco’s in some of the rooms and the hallways connecting the rooms were super narrow. I had asked why are they so narrow and was told, because they knew that the Romans would attack with their armor, shields and swords and couldn’t pass from room to room and thus giving time for the Christians to escape. The third day, I took the Red Tour, where we went to the Open Air Museum and the Fairy Chimneys. I would definitely go back and take some of the other tours offered. As for Andromeda Turizm, we had the best tour guide in Esra Tanir. She was knowledgeable, humorous and I would definitely recommend her as a tour guide. If I could give this tour group more than 5 stars I would.
