Sura Design Hotel & Suites

Sura Design is a gorgeous hotel with a boutique artsy flair about it. It’s the sister company of Hagia Sofia hotel. I picked this hotel because of it’s contemporary new feel and it did not disappoint in the esthetic sense.
It’s literally 2 – 5 minutes walk from Blue Mosque/​Hagia Sofia. And around 10 minutes walk from Grand Bazaar. The cute restaurants on the street of this hotel are nice. The tram and subway system is 2 – 5 minutes as well. It’s conveniently located in old city (historic) of Istanbul.
The room it self is gorgeous with a glass room of the bathroom, private balcony and an amazing room of the Blue Mosque. Our booking included the breakfast which is one of the best breakfasts I have had in hotels. It’s quite a delicious spread of many choices and fresh juices. They also have complimentary tea time from 5−6pm but haven’t had a chance to try it out due to touristy things to accomplish.
The staff are very nice and cultured however the biggest frustration is the wifi. My husband did get the international data plan but we wanted to use the wifi in the hotel. It stops working every few hours. Other reviewers said the wifi is amazing in this hotel, so far much disappointment in that category.
Overall, I would stay in this hotel again but do something about the wifi please for people who want to work as they vacation!!!

We loved this hotel, the location and service. We compliment our customer relations hostess Elif Nur. Every piece of advice she gave us was true. Leave the hotel by going right and you are steps away from the Blue Mosque. Another left and you can follow the train to other areas of interest and see the water, take cruises, mosques, palaces etc. This is the best location for active tourists who like to walk and to see the sites and nightlife of Istanbul. We shall return.

Stylish, comfortable hotel on a (refreshingly) non-​touristy but central street of Sultenahmet. The station for the tram to all the sights we needed was only a one, two-​minute walk away (Sultenahmet stop). For the location and amenities, it was terrific value.
