Mekan Tantuni

I just HAD to add this place to Unilocal,even though this is a really simple, anything but spectacular place. But — first of all I simply love my neighbors in Gültepe (yes, people say I live in Levent, but Dereboyu and Talatpasa are more Gültepe than they are Levent), and then these guys are just so wonderfully nice they deserve a space on Unilocal and a big recommendation.
Whenever I walk in, they are really happy to see me, they offer me a chair and a cup of tea while I am waiting for my tantuni, they smile, they are super courteuos, and yes, they do prepare a really tasty tantuni. Six Lira apiece, with a little box of leaves and super hot chilis, and a couple of refreshment towels — which you will need, because these things aren’t just tasty, they are dripping with yummy sauce.
Yes. I’m truly a fan.
