Chinese & Sushi Express

Ok well we all know the sad truth that there is no good sushi in Istanbul, or at least, none that doesn’t require you to empty your pocket. Couple that with the fact that we always still go out for all-​you-​can-​eat sushi on Thanksgiving for 59tl/​each and well, you know the expectations are low. That said, I still was massively annoyed with this place. Not as disappointing as last years Sushi Express in Atasehir (where there was no sake or any alcohol whatsoever), but what is worse than a sushi place with no sake? A sushi place with sake that has unidentified floating objects in it — included, but not limited to, hair, sand, dust, dirt, particles…
I should have sent it back and asked for a clean sake bottle but I don’t know. I hate complaining. I just tried to get the floaties out and enjoy the rest of the meal.
Now normally this would warrant a 1-​star review but I liked the place. Quiet, tucked in a corner, almost Tokyo like. Probably won’t go back (I’m never in Mecidiyekoy anyway), but still. One of the cutest sushi places, better at least than the Atasehir and Sishane branches.
