Worst airline experience I’ve ever had. We paid extra for bulkhead seats, and sat in the tiniest, most uncomfortable seats I’ve ever had. I spent the whole 12 hours thinking about my wonderful seats on KLM in economy preferred a few months ago. Even Air France coach has better seats. Even Swiss on their small commuter planes have better seats than the intercontinental seats we had. On top of that the plane rattles like it’s going to fall apart. I could smell jet fuel when we took off (never had that happen before). There are no outlets to charge your devices (much to the sadness of several guys behind me, who had thought there were charging stations.) The movie choices are bad, and the bathrooms are small, AND they don’t put in extra toilet paper. Thank god I noticed (and went to tell the air service people) that there was no toilet paper. I’ve never had that happen on another airline. Ever. I’m sure it happens, but I’ve always seen extra toilet paper available. Top this off with the fact that our connecting flight from Berlin to Zurich started OVER ½ hour late– and we had a very tight connection. I will never, ever, ever fly this airline again. I will definitely try for my favorite, KLM, or second favorite Air France, or even United, over Swiss. I will say the air service people were nice– if a bit ineffective.

After being bumped from my Swiss Air flight to Florence and put up in a hotel far from everything and with terrible food, the € 10 olive tapenade I bought in Duty Free in Spain was seized during security screening the next morning. The woman in front of me, however, was allowed to keep her Swiss Army Knife (that exceeded maximum length and had 10 blades) and take it in the plane with her. ⁹⁄₁₁ terrorists used box cutters, but Zurich Airport OKs knives, but seizes an olive spread?
The hotel I was promised next to the airport when I accepted being bumped because they had overbooked the plane had no rooms, so they put me in a terrible hotel in the middle of nowhere. The rooms were very small and the dinner buffet, the only option even though I was promised a € 20 meal credit, was terrible. I also had to wake-​up an hour earlier (5:30 am) than I would have because I had to catch a shuttle instead of walking to the terminal as I had been told I could from the airport’s Raddison.
I am posting this via my SIM because Zurich Airport’s Wi-​Fi is also useless, just like their security screening procedures.

I want to support Swiss airlines and had expected the highest quality when I chose to purchase my ticket through them. Unfortunately, on my first flight with them my luggage has been lost and I can’t get any help. I’m going on 3 days without anything. It seems like they can’t even trace it down to know where it is or when I’ll get back. My patience has run out.
