Krishnaa’s ist ein relativ neues Indisches Restaurant in Zürich. Sie servieren rein vegetarische südindische Küche die, gemäss meinen Indischen Kollegen mit denen ich dort war, tatsächlich auch authentisch ist. Das Essen schmeckt jedenfalls gut, und die Buffet Preise (CHF 15.- für Lunch, CHF 20.- für Dinner) sind absolut fair.
Das ambiente ist typisch Bollywood Style und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Es eignet sich auch gut um mit einer grossen Gruppe mal hinzugehen.

Really good food. I didn’t realize I got a whole dosa with my meal and pigged out on the buffet portion before it came. I hobbled out of there after over stuffing my face. But loved it. Relaxed atmosphere with Indian music playing, very low-​key. The one guy manning the front house’s English wasn’t too good but he understood and spoke Hindi well. Don’t be turned off by the awning. Yes, it’s very garish and stip-​mall-​esque but give it a try. I was stuck in a nearby hotel so perhaps I wouldn’t travel far for a ‘destination’ restaurant. If you don’t expect white table cloth service or carefully presented haute cuisine, you should enjoy yourself. And it’s a great value for Zurich.

Ja das Krishnaa’s. Da war vorhin irgendwie eine recht urchige Beiz drin, und plötzlich prangert da gross «Lunch Buffet 15.-» und «Dinner Buffet 20.-» Und ich muss sagen, für diesen Preis kann man wirklich nix verlangen.
Leckere frische Sachen, halt alles vegi aber das stört mich nicht.
Da ich mich nicht sonderlich gut mit indischem Essen auskenne könnte ich nicht behaupten es sei authentisch, aber ich behaupte mal es sei so. Jedenfalls total herzig, kitschig, mit Bollywood am grossen Bildschirm. So habe ich was zum lachen während dem Essen :)
Herzlich, niedlich, gut. Ideal für zwischendurch, für den «ich hab keine Lust zu kochen” — Tag und überhaupt. Geht hin.

Krishnaa’s is a newly opened Indian vegetarian restaurant directly on the number 10 and 14 tram lines, stop Salersteig, just outside Oerlikon. It’s generally cheap and cheerful, cheap meaning 15 CHF for lunch, 20 in the evening for a self service buffet and cheerful from the happy, attentive staff and the bright pink décor. I found it kind of OK but my Indian colleagues really really rated it so I guess if you are Indian and/​or a veggie it’s worth a visit.
