Reasonably priced for Zurich, with good service (like tram tickets added to your room bill), free apples, and a concierge. Tiny rooms, with translucent bathroom doors that prevent a dark room when your other half is in the loo. Not in the old town, but a few tram stops from anywhere.

Room is very small. Tow single beds were put together for one bed. First time I’ve stayed in a hotel in such setup. Stains on the carpet. Bathroom is small as well. Wifi is super slow even with claimed 10mb download speed, which costs like CHF20. Checking in took a long time. Staff constantly gave me confusing answers to my reservation and price. I felt like dealing with small hostel that I should worry about my wallet. I hope this is not average hotel like in Zurich. Anyways, better checkout a different place as I can’t think of anything worse than this one at this price range.

Internet rápida e para quantos dispositivos (gadgets) necessários, bem diferente de outros hotéis deste nível. Aliás, internet grátis e rápida para os membros do IHG.

Der Name verspricht einiges (dachten wir). Leider hat sich das für mich (und auch meinen Kollegen) nicht bestätigt. Die Zimmer wirken absolut nicht so, wie ich für eine Nacht um die 300CHF erwarten würde.
Hier habe ich bessere Erfahrungen gemacht.
Die Badewanne war schon etwas rau, die Türe zum Duschen undicht und der Teppich hat schon eher etwas alt gewirkt. Generell habe ich mir gedacht, dass das Zimmer wieder mal einer Modernisierung bedürfen würde.
Das ist für diesen Preis nicht in Ordnung.
Es gibt sicherlich auch nette Wellness-​Angebote (die ich nicht genutzt und auch nicht gesehen habe) und die Hotelbar wirkt auch gediegen (auch nicht ausprobiert), aber für eine Geschäftsreise kann ich das Hotel nicht empfehlen, zumal auch das Frühstücksbuffet nicht überragend gut war, sondern eher Standard-​Ware. Hier würde ich auf andere Hotels (zB du Theatre, Novotel) ausweichen.

This hotel is so much nicer than the hotel senator I stayed at earlier in the week. The crowne plaza pays attention to the small details. They have an outlet panel at the desk that has plugs that fit every region. There are heart shaped chocolates and biscuits. There is also a sleeping kit which contains a pillow spray and a nose spray to help you sleep. The concierge was very helpful as well. I’d definitely stay here again if I came to zurich. There are two things that prevents this from being a 5. Its location sucks. It’s far away from the city center. The other reason is the food. My sister and I both ordered the rosti. It was delicious but sat in a bed of oil. Bleech!

I’d like to start off this review by mentioning the fact that I have no other hotel in Switzerland to compare this hotel to because this is my first time here ever. I’ve only been here 1 night so far, and have 1 night left, but I feel like I’ve experienced most of what this hotel has to offer, and I have some free time, so I’m going to write my review.
This hotel has a lot of wonderful things about it. The lobby is beautiful and the fitness center is great. I used the treadmill this morning and some of the weight machines. The treadmill was what I’m used to back home, but the weight machines were so much better! The weight is controlled with electronic pedals, which is something that I have never experienced before.
The pool and spa facilities are also very nice. It’s an indoor pool and heated to the perfect temperature. There is also a hot tub with jets, which I felt could have been hotter, but it was still great nonetheless.
Our room is tiny, but nice. However, I have a feeling this is a typical-​sized room for Europe, so I’m not complaining. The bathroom in the room is also nicer than a lot of European bathrooms I’ve experienced, with a tub and everything. However, some members in our group mentioned they do not have a tub in their bathroom.
This hotel provides a multitude of towels! They aren’t the best towels I’ve ever used, but I am always happy when there are a lot of towels provided by a hotel!
Another great feature of this hotel… they have electrical outlets from just about everywhere in the world! At least I think so… there are North American outlets and Europe, of course, and then there are 2 other kinds as well. This hotel definitely caters to tourists from all over!
I wouldn’t say that this hotel has the best location in Zurich… it’s a bit far from the main drag, but the public transportation system here is wonderful so we haven’t had any problems getting around the city. I just wish there was more to do right by our hotel.
Overall, I have been very happy with my stay here at the Crowne Plaza Zurich!

Das Zimmer ist recht klein, es gibt keinen Kleiderschrank und die Glastüre zum Bad schließt nicht vollständig. 2x sind wir versehentlich vom Roomservice geweckt worden. Das Frühstück ist nicht im Preis inbegriffen und mit 29Franken sehr teuer. Das Personal ist zwar freundlich, aber wir mussten uns leider mehrfach beschweren. Alles in Allem ein nettes Hotel, aber für ein 4 Sterne Haus nicht zu empfehlen

Sehr nettes Personal, Frühstück nicht inbegriffen und sehr teuer (28 Franken!!) und der Wellnessbereich sollte dringend mal renoviert werden.
Ansonsten sehr schönes und nettes Hotel und auch von der Lage super.
Supermarkt, Bäcker und Tram gleich nebenan. :)
Alles in allem daher ok.

I stayed here often while traveling for businesslast year. The renovated wing was in much better shape than the old one. The rooms were generally clean and tidy. The heart shaped chocolate was something i look forward to every night. They would give me a nice box of chocolate if I stay over 5 days…
It is very convenience with tram #2 and 3 right in front of the hotel that can take you to the old town and the train station. It is also next to a few good eateries and the soccer stadium.
The breakfast buffet is very American and very complete. However, if your room rate does not include breakfast, it is very expensive with the unfavorable exchange rate.

Kleines Zimmer, in dem man sich schon mal im Weg stehen kann Zimmer zeigt Gebrauchtspuren Renovierung könnte dem Hotel gut tun. Unter der Woche dürfte es laut werden zweispurige Straßen sowie Tram direkt vor dem Haus. Dazu zahlreiche Baustellen ringsum.

das crowne plaza ist ein riesiges hotel in altstetten. eignetlich das grösste in zürich. auf der homepage steht es sei ein luxushotel für businessreisende. es gibt seminarräume und konferenzräume. damit sich die gestressten geschäftsleute aber auch entspannen können, um ihr burn out zwei-​drei jahre hinauszuschieben, gibt’s ein volles wellness programm mit sauna, whirlpool, hallenbad, dampfbad und solarium.
von aussen sieht es richtig hässlich aus. so ein brauner hotelkomplex. es gibt aber eine beeindruckende parkbahn vor dem hotel. do kommen oft busse voller asiaten an.
unten in der hotellobby ist immer viel los. ich kenns ja nur vom vorbeigehen, aber es sind wirklich immer ziemlich viele menschen da. die sehen aber alle gar nicht so super reich und luxuriös aus, wie ichs mir immer vorstelle, wenn ich was über solche hotels lese.

Freundliches Personal, ordentliche (renovierte) Zimmer und Klimaanlage.
Tolle Kopfkissenauswahl und als kleines Wellnessextra gibt es 2 Schlafsprays als Betthupferl; zusätzlich die üblichen Toilettenartikel und auf Wunsch kostenlos Rasierschaum, Rasierer, Zahnbürste usw.
Kleines Manko: Der Wellnessbereicht. Ein Überbleibsel der frühen 80er im braun/​grau/​rose Granit mit orangen Glaselementen und beigen Armaturen zeigt dass dringender Renovierungsbedarf besteht. Und auch die Saunen haben bereits einige Jahre hinter sich, was sich leider am ziemlich verschimmelten Holz (Eukalyptussauna) zeigt.

nettes Personal, gute Küche, allerdings waren die Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig für schweizer Verhältnisse. Sauber aber ein leicht maroder Anstrich, aber eine Renovierung wäre eine sinnvolle Massnahme, dabei könnten die kleinen Zimmer sicherlich etwas gemütlicher ausfallen

It’s a chain hotel, but with Swiss style. The staff are genuinely friendly, and the rooms are well appointed, everything seems to work. Breakfasts are really good (which foe me means loads of fruit) and better because I could get the corporate rate including breakfast. If you try, you might be able to, as well.
So, no surprises, but they do what they do well. Good value for Zurich.
Oh — if you like your bedroom window open get a room away from the road.
