Crêperie la Chandeleur

Try the hot chocolate!!! We had the specialty crêpe (it’s the asparagus season) and something else that was sweet, but everything seems to be good. Tricky place to get to though as Lausanne is multi-​tiered, I highly recommend parking at the city center and then walking here. It’s much easier than finding street parking.

Terrific restaurant!!! Great food, service, and reasonable priced, cannot ask for more. The crêpe were made to perfection, both savery and sweet. Will definitely go back.

We had a magnificent dinner with the «Royale» smoked salmon crêpe and a spinach and salmon crêpe. The buckwheat crepes are magnificent. They seated us without a reservation on a Friday evening and gracefully handled us non-​French-​speaking diners. We would definitely return on our next visit.

Die besten Crêpe, die ich jemals gegessen habe. Auch wenn einem der Preis eher hoch erscheint, rentiert es sich, da man wirklich von einem Crêpe vollkommen satt wird und nicht nach 2 Stunden wieder Hunger hat! Auch das Cidre fermier ist sehr zu empfehlen. Jedoch ist eine Reservierung fast unumgänglich um sicher einen Tisch zu kriegen.

Très bonnes crêpes au sarrasin que ce soit dans le sucré et le salé mais un prix exagéré.. l’accueil est cordial ^^

C est super bon mais je trouve toujours un peu cher pour des crêpes… Mais c est un délice

Crêperie sympa, le choix est très bon et la pâte au sarrasin est excellente. Le seul bémol sont des places un peu petites.

Unsere Gruppe bestand aus 4 Personen.
— Ambiente:
Es handelt sich hierbei um ein kleines, antik angehauchtes Lokal, welches auch über eine kleine versteckte Terasse verfügt. Die Gestaltung des Lokals passt völlig zum Konzept der Crêperie und führt zu einem angenehmen Ambiente.
— Service:
Der Service war nett, zuvorkommend und strahlte eine angenehme Fröhlichkeit auf. Alle Bestellungen wurden richtig aufgenommen.
— Umfang der Speisekarte:
Die Speisekarte ist an sich nicht sonderlich gross. Davon ausgehend, dass es sich jedoch fast ausschliesslich um Crêpe-​Varianten handelt, liegt zugegebenermassen eine angemessene Vielfalt vor.
— Wartezeiten:
Die Getränke wurden kurz nach Aufnahme der Bestellung an den Tisch gebracht. Die Wartezeit für die Crêpes ist angenehm kurz.
— Qualität des Essens:
Uns allen hat die jeweilige Crêpe-​Variante sehr gefallen. Sogar die Erdbeeren des Crêpe Romanoff hatten Geschmack. Keiner von uns hat während unseres Aufenthalts auch nur ein schlechtes Wort über das Essen verloren.
— Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis:
Die Crêpes sind riesig. Und auch aufwändige Gerichte wie der Crêpes Romanoff liegen mit 12.50 CHF gut im Bild. Einfachere Varianten wie ein Honig Crêpes kosten unter 10 CHF.
— Sauberkeit Restaurant:
Das Restaurant wurde als Sauber empfunden.
— Sauberkeit der Toilette:
Die Toiletten sind zwar klein, waren jedoch sauber.
— Fazit und Gesamtbewertung:
Hätten wir nicht bereits zuvor etwas gegessen, hätte es an diesem Abend Crêpes zur Vor-​, Haupt– und Nachspeise gegeben. Wir haben das lokal fröhlich und satt verlassen und uns den Namen für einen möglichen zukünftigen Besuch notiert.

Délicieux! Les meilleures crêpes du coin.

I chose to try La Creperie after I read Mindy’s review. It was the first time I was eating Crêpe in Switzerland so I was pretty excited to try that joint.
Atmosphere ⁴⁄₅: It’s a nice little restaurant with a patio that is as large as the inside dinner room. The atmosphere is friendly and warm with those wood decorations. You kinda feel to be in a Swiss Chalet.
Food ⁴⁄₅: Crepes were good! I had a Sour Crêpe, the Roquefort with Nuts. It was quiet good. A little bit too salty but it was mainly because of the roquefort. The mix Greens was good as well as appetizer and large enough. The dressing sauce was good.
Service ⁴⁄₅: Friendly service by the waitresses. They were a little bit busy with the patio and I went there around 3pm but overall, it was better than what you can expect in most of the restaurant in Switzerland.
I would go back with a group next time. It’s the perfect snack to have in the middle of the afternoon if you’re shopping in Lausanne for example.

L’endroit a la réputation de vouloir se débarrasser rapidement de leurs clients une fois le repas terminé, mais je n’ai pas pu le vérifier la seule fois que j’y ai mangé. Je peux par contre confirmer que les crêpes y sont excellentes. Le service était également assez rapide et relativement sympathique. Seul point négatif: l’endroit est souvent bondé et les tables, proches les unes des autres.

This is another favorite in Lausanne. My french friend took me to this place for the first time, as she mentioned their crepes were the closest to what you would find in her home country. Everything about this place is great. They have a great outside area to eat in during the warmer months. If you have room, definitely follow up the salty crêpe with a sweet crêpe. They have a great special crêpe they offer in the Christmas season, that tastes just like Christmas! This is a small place, and you definitely have to make reservations in advance.
