Vapiano

A fantastic pizza, pasta, salad restaurant with a full service bar, great fresh food and friendly helpful employees. This was my first solo dining experience while on holiday in Switzerland. The hostess/​cashier explained how it works, she gave me a card that I took to the ordering area at the back of the restaurant, once you order, you scan the card at the service counter and bar and it loads your order on it then you pay at the front. I had a grilled vegetable salad with steak and shrimp and have already wondered how I can recreate it back home in West Virginia. I sat outside and enjoyed my prosecco and salad. They were kind enough to carry my tray outside for me as I had purchased a new suitcase (to carry my many souvenirs and gifts) and had it in tow and couldn’t manage a tray as well. I wish we had this restaurant in the U.S. I would definitely go back if I visit Basel again.

Le concept est sympa, surtout pour le lunch. On choisi le type de pâte, la sauce et en quelques minute, le plat est prêt. C’est frais et les pâtes sont al dente!
